How do people meet other people randomly?

The people in your classroom? at work? on the street? at a club? either for friendship or relationship how do you meet people many people approaching them?

How do people meet other people randomly?
Well random means that there is no set way, so really it means meeting people when you don't expect it.

I meet people all the time in a variety of settings. Some end up sticking around and others, it was only for the moment.

I'm a very outgoing person and have no problem chatting to strangers in line-ups, on ferries, sitting at an outside cafe, walking down a street and waiting for the light to change. At clubs, having lunch, paying bills. Work, school, flying on planes. And all the places in between, including the internet. As I've made very good friends on the net who I've met in person and met my (late) b/f through the internet.

Random is random, you simply have to be open to the experience.
Reply:I personally think that the internet is one of the biggest people finders. People can meet through personal webpages, fansites, chat rooms etc. They usually find friendship through interests they share
Reply:You already listed some of the ways people get to know others.

Other ways would be through:

- Friends

- Work

- Online games

- Some friend-making web site

- Hobby clubs (in school or university)

- Hangs outs like gyms, book stores, coffee shops, etc.

I got to know most of my friends either as ex-classmates or through friends. Like I'd go out with A and B and they'd bring along C whom I've never met.

And then there are the friends I got to know from approaching them out of the blue just because they were looking at a book that I read too. People seem to open up easily when it comes to common topics that they're really into.

You'd find it easier to talk to people with a similar interest too (e.g. you like the same band). :)

As for how to meet new people, you might want to try looking at some sort of forum for locals (in your area, of course). Try chatting with some of the people over MSN or some other IM, and if you're comfortable enough or having fun, ask 'em out for a drink.

Note: Please be cautious when meeting up with people you got to know online. Exercise the usual precautions such as meeting in crowded places, and/or letting a friend know what you're doing. Or even bring a friend along.
Reply:It just happens that's what makes it randomly =P. meeting someone at work or trying to find somthing at a store and asking someone else and it comes to chatting about other things and so on.
Reply:Alcohol.
