Where is the best place to meet people in Tacoma, Washington?

I'm moving to Tacoma, Washington on June 1st and want to know where I can meet people that's about 17-22 years old. I'm moving their because of the Army and I don't go to school anymore and just wanted to know where me and my brother could go to meet some people.

The Mothership, 7404 Pacific Hwy. in Fife, 253-922-1930, is where nationally known groups play.

TAVERNS

A neighborhood favorite is Bob's Java Jive, 2102 S. Tacoma Way, 253-475-9843, a coffee-pot-shaped bar on S. Tacoma Way with a neon-decorated handle and spout. Inside is a jukebox with classics from the '60s, and all-American meals. Built in 1927, this place is a classic inside and out.

The Ale House Pub %26amp; Eatery, 2122 Mildred West, 253-565-9367, has one of the largest selections of draught beer in the state, with an incredible 63 different beers on tap. The menu is reasonable and good (especially the ribs), and the big-screen TV is popular for sporting events
Reply:down-town Tacoma but it`s kinda ghetto. I`d go up to Seattle, you`ll have a larger variety and higher class people.Tacoma to me it`s depressing, not much to do and once again: GHETTO. Sad but true!
Reply:There is a UW campus in downtown Tacoma that has lots of people your age there. There's also a really fun bar called Chopstix that opened fairly recently in Tacoma. It's a dueling piano bar and a lot of fun. The Mall there gets a lot of traffic as well. I'd stay away from 17 year old girls if I were you, though. Stick to girls over 18 to be safe.
