How to meet people my age when traveling to a foreign country?

I'll be going to Israel on my own for 6 weeks. I was wondering , is there anything I can do / anywhere I can go to meet people my age (I'm 17) so I make my experience there even better?

You are too young for hostels, but there are people everywhere. Just talk to them.

Reply:I would try talking to teens your age bt going to places were they go. Then try going up to them and talking. I would try with the girls first just to be safe.

there is still lots of political and religious tension there


And 17 and female and alone on any long trip is maybe not so wise.

Reply:It is risky travelling alone that too in a foreign country. Sureoly take some help from someone known,, not necessarily of your age only.
Reply:just be careful. Stay in the hotel and have an early night

Your going to a foreign country.The people of different ages,will have different things to offer in knowing the country and it's culture and history!
