Im moving out to raleigh next spring, as a young (24) single, educated female. I am also moving alone and dont know too much about the area. Tired of fake people and constant parties... anyone have suggestions on where to meet educated young people for new friends? i am not religious, and done with school, and usually work with people much older who are married and such. any good groups to join or places to hang out? i did visit and everyone seemed a lot more friendly, so it doesn't seem like it would be too difficult, but it's always a little nerve wrecking starting completely over....

I am probably not the person to offer a specific answer to your question.
But Raleigh is an excellent city, and there are quality people here.
When you move here, pursue those things that interest you. There is a mix of cultural, sports, and outdoor activities. You will find other good people doing them too.
Try not to end up living in one of the isolated suburban neighborhoods - the closer to downtown you live (particularly west and north) the better the proximity to what there is to do.
