I'm visiting alone and wondered whether its hard to just go out and meet people..i mean, are New Yorkers friendly?

Is it hard to meet people in new york city?
I grew up there and, like any other group of people, New Yorkers include friendly and unfriendly people. For a new visitor with no connections, I would recommend church functions and public parks as good places to meet friendly New Yorkers.
Reply:U WILL B FINE AND EVERY1 IS FRIENDLY

SAFE ZONE ARE QUEENS, STATEN ISLAND,MANHATTAN WELL SUMPARTS OF MANHATTAN

BUT ALL PARTS R FINE AND I MAKE NEW FRIENDS EVERY DAY EVEN IF ITSZ A BAD AREA THEY REALLY NICE
Reply:Being from New York, I'd say we are friendly. If you go out to any bar or just around the city, I'm sure you'll meet people and not have any problems! You'll love it!
Reply:Contrary to popular belief, New Yorkers are very friendly, open and honest. They will tell you like it is. If you can handle that, great. If NOT, stay in Iowa.(no offense). :-)

2 things....

1- If you can delay you visit to 031707 (St Pattys day!) you'll have the time off your life with the Irish. One of the best days to be in NYC. I go EVERY year..!!

2- 12 million people live in NYC. Odds are, you'll probably meet someone..!!

Enjoy your trip..!! (but why by yourself?)

ERIN GO BRAGH. !
