How to meet new people?

I asked this before but i dont think people really understand what i was saying. I am 19, live out of town, have loads of responsiblities on the farm, I dont go to pubs, clubs, parties etc. I'm not a real people person - I dont like talking about nothing or socialising - I dont mean to sound arrogant or anything but Im just not interested. Ive only got a couple of friends but since leaving school we are drifting apart. I would like to have a few friends in my classes at uni. Ive never had any guys even express any interest in me. Im not ugly. How do i meet someone without having to go out all the time?

How to meet new people?
Meet people is a skill. It takes practice. You need to find your way to open up to people that you find interesting and get them to open up to you. This website will help you. It list several different ways to meet new people.

Once you have mastered the skill of meeting new people, make it a goal to try to meet one new person every day. Doesnt matter if they become friends or not. But imagine, if you meet just one new person everyday, in a year you would have met over 300 people and from those, certainly more than a few would become good friends.

Gee, you make it quite hard on yourself. On one hand you are not a people person, but you want to meet people... how do you explain that?

You can make friends at class, by being friendly, and asking a few questions to your fellow students before, or after class.

" Hey, how are you doing today? Isn't the weather horrid? What did you think of yesterday's lesson? I like your sweater, where did you buy it? Hey, you got a different hair-cut, it looks great!'

In order to make friends, you need to do small talk first.
Reply:you sound like me. Hang in there and you will meet someone
