It was easier to meet people when we were kids....we befriended the other kid and we became best friends..... but as adults, are we more picky, judgemental, scared? Why do you think its so hard to meet people and still have a lasting relationship (and not just an acquaintance)?
Why is it so hard to meet people?
Because we have so much going on when we are adults. When we are kids we can just run out the door and play until Mom calls us in. Now we are the boss of our own schedules and we are afraid to over-commit our precious time. I'd love to have some new friends but I never seem to get beyond the superficial acquaintance stage anymore because I never have time to spend with them to develop the friendship.
