I am not into bars, so where do all the nice later 20's / early 30s people go to hang out and meet one another?
Good places to meet nice people in Sandy Springs, GA?
Try coffeehouses and bookstores. In Sandy Springs there is a Starbucks at the Dunwoody Place shopping center (corner of Dunwoody Place and Roswell Rd., south of the river). I'm not positive, but there is probably a large bookstore near Perimeter Mall that may have a coffeehouse attached. You may find some trendier places on Roswell Rd. closer to I-285, but they are kind of hidden in shopping centers, so a little searching may be necessary. I've heard people say grocery stores, too, but that's less of a hang out.
Or, if you're a churchgoer, I know a lot of people socialize through their churches. Northpointe Community Church in Alpharetta (with a satellite location in Buckhead) has a pretty good sized young adults program, but I don't know the specifics.
Last, but definitely not least, you can volunteer for different organizations and meet people that way.
