How to meet people?

This may seem silly but..


I grew up in California and recently moved to Texas for a job, where I knew no one. I quickly discovered that trying to meet new people and make new friends at 21 is a nightmare, let alone the dating scene. Any tips on this?? (and yes, I have friends at work but they're all at least 35 and have families so that doesn't help).

How to meet people?
Just look for local hot spots! Bars, clubs, comedy clubs, ect. Then just start talking to some friendly people....offer some drinks to pretty girls to break the ice! You just have to out and not be afraid that people won't try to talk to you!
Reply:Find a few young people, it doesn't matter if you're interested in dating them or not, and find out what they do for fun, do it. And if you don't like it, find something similar that you do like. Even if you don't find mr/ms perfect for you, you'll have fun!
Reply:Well I am from Texas. It is not that hard to meet people. If you moved to a small town then go to the library, church, bookstore, or coffee shop. Does this town have a gym? That is a great place to meet new people. Oh, and who could forget the bar. The most favorite place of most Americans to meet new people. You just have to put yourself out there. Don't be afraid to try something new. Good Luck
