Good ideas to meet people?

I don't know what to do make my weekends more interesting, I want to do something interesting that I allows me to meet people and make relationship. I have just one friend that I talk to over the phone one or twice a month. and don't get the chance to go out with her. I started to go to movie by myself but but sometimes I'm bored. I'm trying to change my situation and trying to get ideas from people. I moved here 4 years ago. I'm doing well, but feel that I failed to make relationship for some reason. I think I just don't know places where to go to make friends. any good idea

Reply:How old are you? When you are older its hard. Most of my friends are married with children they just dont have time to hang out anymore.
