Best way to meet people in Mumbai?

Im moving to Mumbai in the new year from Australia and i would like to know the best way to meet people?

Best way to meet people in Mumbai?
In local trains :)

If u travel daily in same route same time...

U will slowly get familier with many other frequent travelers in same train
Reply:Walking on footpath and chatting with people or using public transport. People here are usually friendly and talkative and up to 30 percent people can communicate in English.
Reply:get in the streets
Reply:The best way to meet people in Mumbai is to go out of your room. You may meet some body next door, next compound, on the road, at the railway station, malls, coffee shops, beach, Colleges, IT Parks, and so on... Chances are you don't just meet, you may bump into.
Reply:Hi lux,

I have lived in Mumbai and I will be honest with you - its a tough city to live in but great for a vacation.

Colaba is a geat area for you, also worli , andheri west are good areas

email me if you have questions
Reply:And if you dont wanna go meet people .Just stay put, people will come and meet you ...LOLOLOL
Reply:I'm American and I don't live there, but I travel there a bit because my boyfriend is Indian. I always have the best time in India, it's my favorite place, and the people are so amazing. Go to the Colaba area its really busy and full of travelers and shopping. Check out Leopold's and the bars in Bandra and just talk to people. Someone also mentioned the respect thing... that is so huge.. Of course the people who live there can give you better advice than I can, I'm also an outsider that had to make friends so I hope I was somewhat of a help. Also, I should be there in January again so if you want to know more email me..
Reply:I dont know the best way but one way could be yahoo answers.
Reply:in mumbai the best place for making friends is to join orkut .com.
Reply:don't be shy. talk to people. when meeting say NAMASTHE. respect every one. enjoy the life in mumbai.......
