Going out Doesn't get me to meet people, so what else can i do?

Hi I'm 27 male.





When i go out, i just walk in the street and really there's no one else walking( A california city). especially if there is no businesses . I also go to library sometimes, and bookstore but that doesn't give me any possibilities to meet anyone. That's about all the going out i do. How do i get to meet people OR even girls...? I don't have money to join any classes or stuff.





Meeting craiglist people is kind of scary too, and most of the times when i post nobody responds. I just want to have some social contact and maybe make a friend or maybe someday eventually a gf.

Join a political party / reading group / 'jam' night for musicians %26amp; amateurs where an audience is welcome.
